We see your weekly requests to merge EU and NA servers and we want to let you know that we're aware of how impatient you're about it. We are looking forward to implementing this long awaited feature later this year and we've already started the necessary technical preparation. Meanwhile we want to share more details about the merge with you.
- How will you merge the progress if I have EU and NA characters on the same account?
We plan to introduce a character selection option in the Game Center, so that both your characters will keep their progress. We’re still discussing the best way to manage the in-game name as for most of you it’s the same on both servers.
- What will happen to the same clan names?
We’re working on a solution for this problem. Right now we consider keeping the name of the older clan, while suggesting the second one to change its name.
- If I have one character (only on NA), how will it work for me?
Your character with all its progression will be available on the global server.
- Will there be any rewards?
There will be no “migration rewards” like in cases when the game was changing the publisher. This is going to be more of a game / game center update. But we are looking into adding some bonus, for example increased rewards for matches.
- What will happen to the friend lists I have on both servers?
You will have two different friend lists on each of your characters.
- Will I be able to play on the SA server with my NA account?
All our regional servers will be available on the global shard.
- Will we get a PTS to test everything before the merge?
Yes.
- Will the Washington and Dallas regional servers remain under EU?
We’re revising the current regional server system, and we can not promise that all NA servers will remain. Any changes in that will be directed towards better user experience under the new conditions of the global shard.
